The Serai-Kabini

As you drive through the quaint village roads, the river Kabini plays hide and seek with you, finally leading you to The Serai, on its banks. The protected forest area which you are going to enter, is part of the fascinating Nilgiri biosphere and is the largest in South India, at over 2000 sq.km, comprising the wildlife parks of Bandipur, Nagarhole, Wyanad and Mudumalai.

Kabin River Lodge

River Kabini Lodge beckons with the promise of elephants, gaur, deer and a rumour of tiger. Located on the southern fringes of the Nagarahole National Park (Rajiv Gandhi National Park) , this former hunting lodge of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore was rated as One of the Top 5 Wildlife Resorts in the World by the British Tatler’s Travel Guide. The Bison-Kabini

The Bison is situated at the confluence of the Bandipur and Nagarhole National Parks , on the shores of the exotic Kabini river in Karnataka (West of Mysore). Our wildlife resort is a mix between a typical East African camp and the old hunting lodges of the Raj. It is one of the few wildlife resorts in India which has created the perfect balance between luxury and experiencing the wild. The Bison is the only resort in Kabini which overlooks the forest. In an area which boasts off the highest density in asiatic wildlife, one can only imagine what our view holds from the banks of the Kabini.

Red Earth-Kabini

It is situated on the back waters of the Kabini dam; the land has water as its boundary on two sides. The river Kapila across which the dam has been built divides the Bandipur and Nagarhole national parks. The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has identified the Bandipur-Nagarhole corridor as India’s best bet for long term wild life conservation.
